Day 1 (October 28, 2024):
My day started at 4:30am, where I'm tired, but ready, so after packing and waking up, I leave my house at about 5:55am, that said, a little while in, I stop at a Subway and get my favourite Sandwich, containing Ham, Cucumber, Tomato & Lettuce in toasted bread, before I ordered though, I got this lovely photo of the M1, as traffic moving at high speed on the motorway is one of my favourite sights.
After my Subway break, I continue north, passing Ratcliffe Power Station which is being demolished as I type:
I also took some photos of other sights I see along the several hour journey. The image below is a Northern Class 158 if you couldn't tell.
I then visited the first real attraction of the day, the NRM in York. I would post all my nrm York photos but there's over a 100 I think so watch my yt walk through guide if you wanna see that https://youtu.be/pwgrkdwTp7A
But after 2 hours in there I leave the NRM, and after a 1hour and 30minute journey I arrived at about 4:30pm I arrived at my hotel, I settled in and I put some of my stuff away, then I decided to leave and visit "Angel Fisheries" chippy, about 10 minutes from where I was staying near the train station, about a 3 minute walk away to be precise.
Then I decided it was time to sleep, as I had been awake since 4am this morning.
Day 2 (October 29, 2024):
I woke up at 7am, feeling surprisingly awake, and I also took a photo of this, which is a decoration in my bedroom, and you have no idea how much I wanted it.
Then I went to my front door and took a photo of this, the view just outside my front door.
Then, I went to the living room, where I rested for about an hour before leaving to have a walkaround the town. On my way into town, I took some photos of some Optare Solo buses, parked outside the railway station.
Then I walked further into town to where I got photos of a few boats.
Then I saw the boat I got on later in the day, but as it was 8:21am when I took the photo below, it wasn't ready to leave just yet.
Then I walked further and I took this photo, which would have been better if the sun didn't mess up the lighting.
Then I went to the pier, where I got some lovely photos.
Afterwards, I climbed the cliff where I would eventually make it to the long wall of Benches, where Dracula's bench can be seen, unfortunately for me I was out of breath having reached the top, as I was ill a few days before and still didn't feel great at this point.
Then I had a little walk to Whalebone Arch, something I couldn't wait to see.
Then I walked down 3 flights of steps, where it felt like 500 flights, as again, I still did not feel great. Then having reached the bottom I took a photo of this "Whitby Wok" sign as a reminder for later, as Chinese Cuisine is my favourite food, however spoilers, I ended up visiting a pub and didn't go, I plan to on my 2025 visit.
I took the photo I took earlier again, and it came out a bit better, with the sun not in the way to ruin the lighting.
Then instead of going home I decide to walk through the alleys of Whitby where I stumble across a gem of Whitby that no one is talking about, and that is Cooplands, it's the best bakery I've been to in my life, and I've been to a lot. So here is a photo back at my hotel of my sausage roll.

On a bit of a sadder note, in the top left of that image you can see my filming tripod, for when I'm at Railways, but recently it has broke.
Now though, it was 10:20am, so I leave my hotel and take more photos of buses.
Once I had done that, it was time to head onto the boat I took a photo of earlier, though if I'm being honest, I was dreading it a bit, as I had never been on a boat before, and I didn't want to be sea sick.
I must admit, the tour guide on the boat was very kind, and something hilarious I've never forgotten was when the guide mentioned Whitby Abbey and Dracula, and istg a little girl said "Whitby Abbey Almost K***ed Me Yesterday!" I still can't get over how funny that was. Luckily, I did not get sea sick and it was a very pleasant ride. Then after I left the boat I visited the Dracula Experience, and I am not joking when I say this, but there was tarantula projections on the ground, and I hated that section, due to my fear of bugs.
After leaving I went to some shops, nothing note worthy happened there though, I then went to the arcade and started a g***ling addiction! In all seriousness though I only won 34p, so nothing to get too excited about. Then I retreated to my hotel, where I saw this:
saw this:
I didn't try it this time, but I will next time. On the way back at the railway station I recorded the Whitby Tour Bus, which I also uploaded to YT. https://youtu.be/tvRtcZO2GHY (Sorry for so much self promo I just really want to get 100 subs by the end of this month lmao) anyway, I make it back where I rest for a while, before leaving to head to Whitby train station, which I also uploaded to YT!!!!!!
https://youtu.be/k5Lj555nNUE (I'll stop that now) however don't watch it just yet as it contains day 3 spoilers. Then I walk away from the station after watching LMS Black 5 5428 'Eric Treacy' leave the station, and visit Wendy's, it was my first time trying it and I was not disappointed. I had the baconator meal with a medium sized cola.
(Hey you can see the 34p I won in the background! :D) Then I worked on uploading my Trains At York & NYMR video, and saw this bizarre glitch in Studio.
I didn't leave my hotel to go anywhere special for the rest of day 2 then, at about 5pm, my Trains At York & NYMR video went live for the first time, it has since gained 230 views, which is above average for my channel. My entertainment was a Channel 5 show called "Dogs Behaving Very Badly" which was good to watch.
However I did decide to get a whiff of fresh sea air and took a sideways photo of the road that stems from the entrance of my hotel.
I got cold, so I went back in. Then I watched more tv, then went back to bed.
Day 3, The Final Day, (October 30, 2024):
This is my final day of the 2024 Yorkshire visit, where I will do stuff mainly outside of Whitby. My day starts at 6:40am, where I decide to stay in bed, because I didn't want to leave, so at 7:30am I did, then at about 8:40am I left to go to the one and only Whitby Abbey, however I didn't really walk around like planned, as where I did nearly 10 miles of walking the previous day I strained several muscles in my legs, and couldn't walk very far, not to mention I still didn't feel 100%. I did get some nice photos though.
The photo below is my phones home screen wallpaper as of now!
As the photo above shows, I visited the English Heritage Musuem, where I saw a Guiness World Record, plaque, and I love World Record stuff, so I just had to take some photos:
That out of the way, I head to Goathland railway station, a filming location in the Harry Potter films. I saw 5428 'Eric Treacy' again and also saw LHJC 29, which I saw in April at the Watercress Line Spring Steam Gala (https://youtu.be/-aER27iPrtQ). I then decided to walk around Goathland, or at least do my best.
Then I had to (not exaggerating) run to Goathland station as a Crossover between 5428 'Eric Treacy' & LHJC 29 was about to happen, and good I did because I nearly missed it despite my legs getting worse. Here my camera died but luckily I had a backup camera which came in good use for the rest of my time outside. Then I looked for local pubs, and after 30 minutes of looking I found "The Bridge Inn" which was a lovely pub with some really friendly staff, and they also had a garden, where I once again recorded 5428 'Eric Treacy' on it's return to Whitby.
I return to my hotel, then rest for a few hours, and before I leave Whitby, there's one last thing I want to see: which is Whitby Abbey Illuminations, where ghost stories where told. I didn't go in, but I got some photos nonetheless:
As I got back in the car the abbey turned red!
That's it for my adventures in Whitby, for this year anyway, however it got foggy on the way back, so I used the brightness setting on my camera to get some good pics of that and also some stars
And at 1:30am on October 31, 2024 I return home. It was a very good trip and eagerly await my return.
